I was really nervous about this class. I've never thought drawing was my strong suit but I surprised myself by the end of class and there is plenty of time for improvement. Definitely need to practice gesture.
I started with graphite and moved to charcoal and I liked charcoal much better. It is easier to get a more expressive line.
The last two are from a 5.5 x 8.5 sketch pad and I switched back to graphite. I naturally draw large and the charcoal just wanted to draw off the page. I found this very difficult to draw small.
