No model on Tuesday so we drew each other.  This was fun for me but poor Kevin!

Thursday was free choice of materials.  I chose conte because, for some reason unbeknownst to me, I draw better.

Conte week!  I was surprised how much I enjoyed this medium.  Layering the different colors to create value seemed easier to me than with charcoal.  I want to get more practice, so I will be using conte during student choice week.

Prismacolor pencils

I am finding that I really enjoy mediums where I can blend colors for value.  I am also finally improving proportions!  Now it is getting to be more fun to draw and I want to practice more.  A very very long time ago, this was the first medium I used and I just remembered this.
